NEW YORK CITY: The sixth International Hindi Conference will be inaugurated by Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, Consul General of India in New York, on October 25, 2024, at the Indian Consulate.

Organized by the Hindi Sangam Foundation (HSF) in collaboration with the Indian Consulate, the event focuses on expanding and strengthening Hindi instruction globally.

Experts from the United States and India, including university educators and language professionals, will gather to share their work and explore innovations in Hindi education.

The two-day event will conclude with a Hindi play directed by the New Jersey-based theatre company, Prayog.

This year's conference is supported by prominent U.S. universities, including Columbia and NYU, as well as community organizations.

“We are thankful to the Consul-General for allowing us to continue this sequence and hold the event annually,” said Ashok Ojha, HSF President and event coordinator.

Notable figures such as Dr. Bijoy Mehta, a prominent Hindi poet, will also preside over a Kavi Sammelan (poetry session) on the inaugural day.
