Gold Jewelries and High-End Purses: 5 Arrested for Robberies Targeting Indian American Community

In Kirkland, Washington, police caught five people who were breaking into the homes of Indian families and others from South Asia origin.

 

Kirkland Police Department caught Five men from Southern California for breaking into homes more than 17 times. These homes belonged to Indian-American and South Asian people in Seattle. The investigation started in February because people from South Asia in Kirkland, Washington, reported more burglaries.

 

Catching the Thieves:

 

  • Starting Point: Things began to move forward when cameras saw three people trying to break into houses and got a picture of their car's license plate.
  • Finding a Suspect: One of the thieves, who had done crimes before and was from Palmdale, California, helped police start their search.
  • How They Operated: The group used to come and go between California and Washington, staying in places they rented for a short time. They also used stolen car plates to keep from getting caught.
  • Big Break: Police searched one of the places the thieves were staying in, Redmond, and arrested five of them.

 

What the Thieves Did:

 

  • Who Was Arrested: The police caught five guys from Southern California. Their names are Lamar E. Curtis, Londra D. Jackson, Kenji Christopher Crutchfield, Eric Darnell Netterville Jr., and Aramis Davae Williams. They are accused of breaking into many homes.
  • What Was Found: Inside the place where the thieves were staying, police found things they thought were stolen: more than $17,000 in cash and some very expensive bags. They targeted mainly Indian families for gold jewelry pieces and high-end bags and purses.

 

The work done by the Kirkland Police has made many families feel safer. The police chief thanked everyone who helped by sharing information and praised police teamwork from nearby towns. This effort shows how working together can help stop thieves and keep our neighborhoods safe.
