New York City— In a historic move, NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan has appointed Dr. Anitha Srinivasan as its Chief Medical Officer (CMO), effective June 1, 2025.
With over two decades of dedicated service at the institution, Dr. Srinivasan becomes the first woman and the only woman of color to hold the CMO position at Metropolitan Hospital, marking a significant milestone in the hospital's 150-year history.
