San Francisco: OpenAI is set to acquire Windsurf, an AI-powered coding assistant formerly known as Codeium, for approximately $3 billion.

This acquisition, if finalized, would be OpenAI's largest to date, significantly enhancing its suite of developer tools and marking a notable advancement in AI-assisted software development.
