Community leader Iftekhar Shareef highlighted the convenience the venue brings, noting, “We used to drive 35 to 45 miles to book an event, but now it’s just five miles away.”

Qari Abdul Mannan described the opening as “a blessing from Allah,” underscoring the hall’s role in enhancing Skokie’s cultural vibrancy.

The event concluded with lively entertainment, a bouquet presentation honoring dignitaries, and a warm Q&A session with Mayor Tennes, fostering community connection and optimism for the venue’s future.

Abdul Aziz’s vision and the collective community effort behind Kohinoor Banquets represent more than just a new event space—they embody a hub for cultural unity and celebration in the heart of Skokie.
