Dallas, Texas: The North American Telugu Association (NATS) Dallas chapter hosted its annual children's festival at Vandematter Middle School, Prisco, marking the 14th year of this cultural celebration.
Held in honor of former Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's birth anniversary, the event brought together over 250 students who showcased their talents in various academic and artistic competitions, fostering cultural connection and community spirit among Indian expatriates.
Participants, divided into age groups, competed in chess, mathematics, traditional and film music, dance, and Telugu language skills.
The event saw enthusiastic participation not only from Telugu children but also from other Indian diaspora students. Over 90 winners were crowned across categories, reflecting the vibrancy and inclusiveness of the festival.
The festival's success was credited to meticulous planning by Dallas coordinators Swapna Katragadda and Shravan Nidiganti, supported by a robust team of volunteers and advisors.
