Santa Clara, CA – Suds Jain, a Santa Clara resident and city council member, is running for re-election to continue his work addressing the city's pressing issues, including affordable housing, climate change, and deteriorating infrastructure.

A long-time community advocate with a background in engineering, Jain is looking to finish the work he started during his first term on the city council, particularly with projects like the BART extension and revitalizing Santa Clara's downtown.

Jain’s campaign focuses on tackling the housing deficit, rebuilding critical infrastructure, and reducing the city’s carbon footprint.

He initiated a Station Area Plan Task Force to support affordable housing near the new BART extension and has been a driving force behind the city's plans to implement supportive housing for the homeless.

"I’m running for re-election essentially because I have lots of unfinished business," Jain explained, emphasizing his commitment to Santa Clara's growth and sustainability.

His other top priorities include restoring fiscal responsibility, advancing environmental sustainability, and meeting housing needs in one of the state’s most congested regions.

Jain also highlighted his efforts on the Downtown Community Task Force to rebuild Santa Clara’s downtown using Form Based Code. He stressed that his experience on the Planning Commission and City Council sets him apart from his opponent.
