Prosper ISD Graduations to Return to Local Stadium Instead of Frisco: Key Details Announced

After a year at the Ford Center in Frisco, Prosper ISD's high school graduation ceremonies are returning to Prosper, reinforcing community bonds and celebrating local achievements


Key Details:


  • Venue Shift: Prosper ISD graduation ceremonies will now take place at the Children's Health Stadium at Prosper ISD, located at 2000 Stadium Drive, Prosper, following last year's event in Frisco.


  • Dates and Times:
    • Prosper High School: Wednesday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m.
    • Rock Hill High School: Thursday, May 23 at 7:30 p.m.
    • Walnut Grove High School: Friday, May 24 at 7:30 p.m.


  • Graduating Figures: A total of 1,555 students will graduate from the district, with Prosper High School celebrating 827 graduates, Rock Hill High School 569, and Walnut Grove High School 159.

Superintendent Holly Ferguson emphasized the significance of hosting graduations locally: This is where our students belong," and, "Graduations are returning to Children's Health Stadium because we want our students to celebrate this milestone in a place that feels like home.


The return of the Prosper ISD graduation ceremonies to Children's Health Stadium is more than a logistical decision; it is a celebration of community and local pride. 


By hosting the event at a venue funded and supported by local voters, the district is not only utilizing a space that holds numerous memories for students but also reinforcing the value of community involvement in educational achievements.
