(South Plainfield, New Jersey): A 23-year-old Indian student named Om Brahmbhatt faces arrest in connection with the tragic deaths of his grandparents and uncle in a condominium. The South Plainfield Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office have accused Om of fatally shooting Dilipkumar Brahmbhatt, 72, Bindu Brahmbhatt, 72, and their son Yashkumar Brahmbhatt, 38.

Authorities were alerted by a 911 call, leading them to discover Dilipkumar and Bindu, both of whom had succumbed to gunshot wounds. Yashkumar was rushed to the hospital but tragically did not survive. Om is now facing three counts of first-degree murder charges and second-degree weapon possession.

Om, who had recently moved to New Jersey, was residing in the same condominium where the incident occurred. Reports suggest that he used an online-purchased handgun to commit the alleged murders. Remarkably, Om himself dialed 911, admitting, "It might be me."

Neighbors disclosed that this wasn't the first time police had been called to the condominium, citing a prior domestic violence incident. The Traditions apartment complex, home to numerous Indian families, has multiple security cameras that residents hope will assist in the investigation.

Om's composed demeanor during court appearances has raised questions about the motive behind this tragic crime. Meanwhile, Yashkumar's wife, Nikki Brahmbhatt, is mourning the loss of her husband and parents-in-law, appealing for privacy during this challenging period.

A grand jury will handle the case as the investigation unfolds while Om Brahmbhatt remains in custody at Middlesex County jail.
