Johns Creek, GA – The AAPI Victory Fund, alongside prominent Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) leaders, hosted a dynamic day of action in Georgia to gather support for the Harris-Walz ticket and other local candidates ahead of the upcoming elections.

The event, held at Cauley Creek Park, attracted hundreds of volunteers and community members eager to mobilize the AAPI voter base.

Leaders including U.S. Representative Pramila Jayapal, former CAP CEO Neera Tanden, and SBA Deputy Administrator Dilawar Syed spearheaded the gathering, emphasizing the critical role of grassroots action in boosting voter turnout.

Volunteers canvassed key areas in Johns Creek and Duluth, engaging voters to support the Harris-Walz campaign, as well as local candidates like State Representative Michelle Au and State Senate candidate Ashwin Ramaswami.

Throughout the event, discussions highlighted the significance of engaging underrepresented communities in the political process.

“When we knock on doors and talk to our neighbors, we are building a movement for fair wages, economic opportunity, and a democracy that works for all of us,” said Rep. Jayapal, capturing the spirit of the day.

The event concluded with a roundtable led by Dilawar Syed, followed by a comedy show by Jenny Yang, adding energy to the enthusiastic crowd after a day of active canvassing.
