IACCGH's Silver Jubilee Gala: 25 Years of Indo-American Unity

Houston, Texas: The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston (IACCGH) marked its 25th anniversary with a grand silver jubilee celebration at the Hilton Americas, Houston. 

 

Over 700 guests, including notable community leaders and business representatives, gathered to commemorate the Chamber’s remarkable contributions to the Indo-American business community in the region.

 

During the event, prominent personalities such as Congressman Al Green and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis lauded Nick Dhanani and Wallis Bank for their significant support of the Chamber’s initiatives. 

 


IACC India Secretary General Kamal Vora, visiting from India, was honored for his long-standing partnership with the organization, while Houston Mayor John Whitmire and Consul General of India in Houston, D.C. Manjunath, delivered impactful speeches.

 

A highlight of the evening was a special panel discussion led by former IACCGH president Sanjay Ramabhadran.

 

The panel reflected on the Chamber’s achievements over the last 25 years, featuring insights from leaders like Dr. Durga Agrawal, IACCGH advisor; Paul Hamilton, former President of Shell USA; and Dr. Renu Khator, Chancellor of the University of Houston System.

 


Expressing his gratitude, Executive Director Jagdip Ahluwalia concluded the night by acknowledging the unwavering support of sponsors, community partners, and members, stating, “This celebration is a testament to the community’s dedication, and we look forward to another 25 years of shared success.”

The event not only recognized past accomplishments but also set the stage for future initiatives aimed at strengthening Indo-American business ties and fostering greater economic opportunities.
