Texas-Based IT Consultancy Involved in Human Trafficking of Skilled Labor

Princeton, Texas - A disturbing case of human trafficking came to light. It all started in March of this year when a pest control company visited a house on Ginsburg Lane to check for bed bugs.

 

What they found was far worse. Inside the house, they saw 15 women sleeping on the floor, surrounded by suitcases. There was no furniture, just Laptops, electronics, and blankets. The pest control workers quickly called the police.

 

The police investigation revealed a unique and troubling twist to human trafficking: these women were forced to work as programmers for fake companies.

 

Unlike many human trafficking cases involving manual labor, this operation exploited skilled labor. Four people were arrested for running this forced labor scheme as below:

 

  • Chandan Dasireddy, 24, of Melissa, TX
  • Dwaraka Gunda, 31, of Melissa, TX
  • Santhosh Katkoori, 31, of Melissa, TX
  • Anil Male, 37, of Prosper, TX

 



The investigation didn't stop there. Police found that the operation involved multiple locations in Princeton, Melissa, and McKinney. They seized laptops, phones, printers, and fake documents, showing that this was a large, well-organized scheme.

 

The tip from the pest control company led to a deeper investigation, revealing over 100 people involved, with many more arrests expected. More than half of these people were victims of forced labor, making this a significant case of skilled labor trafficking.

 

This case highlights the serious problem of human trafficking, especially involving skilled labor. The police are committed to helping the victims and stopping future trafficking operations. The community is shocked as the investigation continues.

 

While the police have not disclosed all the details, this operation likely involved moonlighting, remote work, or a fraudulent corporate-to-corporate consultancy model.

This scheme represents a mix of legitimate IT consultancy with forced labor and exploitation, including scams like fake remote job offers, phishing phone calls for sensitive information, bogus consultancy services siphoning funds, and social engineering to access corporate systems for data theft.
