Plano, Texas: The Telangana People Association of Dallas (TPAD) marked a monumental moment with its 2025 Leadership Oath Ceremony at the Elegance Ballroom.
The event celebrated a seamless transition of leadership and reinforced its mission of cultural preservation and community service.
It brought together the local Telangana diaspora in a vibrant evening of unity and commitment.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from coordinators Rathna Uppala and Renuka Chanumolu.
A symbolic Jyothi Prajwalana, led by the TPAD leadership, and soulful renditions of the national anthems of the USA and India set a patriotic and cultural tone.
Highlighting the evening, incoming President Anuradha Mekala, along with the new executive committee, trustees, and advisors, pledged to carry forward TPAD’s legacy with dedication.
Outgoing leaders, including 2024 President Roopa Kannayagari, celebrated the achievements of the past year, encouraging the new team to build on their successes.
Founding member Ajay Reddy encapsulated the evening’s spirit, saying, “The 2025 Oath Ceremony was not only a celebration of leadership but also a reaffirmation of TPAD’s commitment to fostering cultural preservation, community service, and unity among the Telangana diaspora in Dallas.”
As TPAD enters 2025, the organization promises to uphold its values while exploring innovative ways to engage and empower the community.
