In an unfortunate event, Shreyas Reddy Benigeri, a student from India studying at the Lindner School of Business, University of Cincinnati, was found dead in Ohio. The Indian Consulate in New York announced this sad news on Thursday (February 1). This is the 4th time an Indian student has died in the U.S. in the last few weeks.
What We Know About Shreyas Reddy, an Indian-Orignal Student Found Dead in U.S. College:
- Shreyas Reddy Benigeri was 19 years old. He holds an American passport, and his parents are Indian citizens living in India. Shreyas had an Overseas Citizenship of India, also known as OCI.
- Shreyas Reddy Benigeri was a Lindner College of Business student at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio, starting in August 2023.
- Before moving to the United States, Shreyas earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) in Pilani of Batch 2022.
- According to his profile, Shreyas showed his dedication to applying statistical methods to real-world business scenarios.
- Shreyas's father has got a visa from Hyderabad and is going to be reaching the U.S. on Saturday.
- His funeral is likely to be held on Saturday, February 3.
